Independence
SoundForgePro.com is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Boris FX, MAGIX, Sony Creative Software, Vegas Creative Software, iZotope, or any other company mentioned on this site. Nobody outside the site reviews, approves, or pays for coverage. Product names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Sourcing rules
- Factual claims link to primary sources. Product facts, pricing, system requirements and company news are checked against official pages — Boris FX press releases, soundforge.com product and pricing pages, and vendor documentation — and the source is linked near the claim, not buried in a footer.
- Prices are dated. When a guide quotes a price, it states when the price was checked (for example, "checked July 2026"). Prices move; the date tells you how fresh the number is.
- Version eras are labeled. Sound Forge has changed owners — Sonic Foundry, Sony, MAGIX, and Boris FX since March 30, 2026. Features that only existed in MAGIX-era builds are labeled as MAGIX-era, and current Boris FX-era facts are kept separate from history and from speculation.
- Speculation is flagged as speculation. Where a guide discusses what Boris FX might do — for example, integrating CrumplePop or iZotope technology into Sound Forge — it says so explicitly instead of presenting a guess as a fact.
- No fabricated quotes. Community sentiment is paraphrased from real public discussions and attributed to its source. This site does not invent named users or testimonials.
What this site does not publish
- No links to cracks, keygens, serial numbers, or unofficial download mirrors. Download links point to official Boris FX routes only.
- No sponsored posts or paid placements.
- No affiliate links. Recommendations on this site earn no commission from any vendor — the Disclaimer states this in full.
- No AI-generated screenshots presented as real product interfaces.
Updates
Guides are updated when the facts change, not on a cosmetic schedule. Substantive updates are marked in the article itself — usually with a dated update note near the top — and the page's modified date reflects the change. See the Corrections Policy for how errors are handled.
Who writes this site
All guides are written by Erick Finn, an independent producer who uses Sound Forge Pro for mastering and post-production work. The About page covers the background and why this site exists.
